I got this pencil on a bit of a whim about a year or so back. Someone may have been talking about it on Reddit. Look at the colour and that big eraser - so cool!
It's marketed as being rugged and as a real tool. The name might sort of give that away. The barrel says it's a 1.1mm lead but it's probably a 1.18 or a 1.2mm really. I believe those are compatible.
This is my only twist mechanism pencil and I actually really like it. The first thing I did was a test to see if that lead crept back down the barrel as you were writing and I am happy to report that it does not. I'm not sure if anyone has experience of old Parker pens with a twist mechanism, I swear you got three sentences out of them before you needed to twist it again.
The pencil has an awesome looking chunky eraser that looks like the top of a wooden pencil with a mock ferule and stuff. The eraser itself is not much good - I mean it does in a pinch! Get yourself a dedicated one though. I'd also comment that it's not stuck in there quite as firmly as I'd like. If you lose that eraser then the leads inside are gone!
I got spare leads and spare erasers with the pencil when I bought it which is a really nice touch (6 leads and 2 erasers). The clip is quite small and narrow but it's really tight and does look robust (if a little plain). You might notice I've pointed the lead... now you don't actually need to do this of course but it will produce a chunky line. I just like using the pointer that's hidden in the top of my Koh-I-Noor Veratile.
Price-wise it's actually quite expensive at £15 - it might be plastic but it's really well built. So I don't mind so much on that price - if I'm being critical it is a little high. These are actually quite tough to get a hold of at the time of writing as well. The yellow one seems to be a bit rarer. Go me for having it! This site does seem to have stock although I've never shopped there myself.
For me, you sling a nice soft-ish lead in there and you've got the perfect working pencil. Get some more information on the company here. They seem to be touting a new click mechanism pencil at 1.3mm which looks really neat! Looks knurled too!
